4. Waiting For the Reconstruction
Thoughtful, politically oriented, DC-sounding punk from members of Kill the Man Who Questions, Off Minor, Limp Wrist, and Armalite. Four songs about the problems we face in Philadelphia that are no doubt mirrored in your city as well. It reminds us all about what got us into punk in the first place - because we wanted to give a shit, and we wanted to listen to bands who gave a shit too. For fans of the DC/Dischord sound with an added layer of real catchiness and fun. The DIY record packaging is 100% handmade and assembled, with dozens of different cover varieties.

The MP3 version is available for a donation and contains pdfs of the artwork and lyrics, as well as all the photos used for the different covers.

"Lost Between Hands Held Tight" LP+CD/CD
A
1. The Beast (MP3)
2. Item #14
3. Kanye West Was Right

B
4. Alfred Hitchcock (MP3)
5. ...And Time is Running Out
6. An Enterprise That Requires New Clothes
7. Deconstructing the I/It
Thick, heavy, emotionally intense hardcore from members of The Assistant, You and I, and A Petal Fallen. The lyrics, sung by all three members, question and challenge the lack of trust we have in each other, and the music is a fitting accompaniment to that theme. Dense, layered guitars, a deep, driving bass, and intricate yet powerful drums set the stage for these crushingly intense and earth moving songs. The sound is dark, foreboding, and oh-so satisfying.

The LP and CD come in beautiful, pain-stakingly hand-screened and hand-assembled packaging. The LP also includes the CD version.

  • "Lost Between Hands Held Tight proves to be an all around winner, featuring brutish hardcore with turbocharged, political/socially-aware lyrics and jaw-dropping hand-crafted artwork." - PastePunk (Spotlight)
  • "The amount of work that was put into the layout of this record is mind-blowing... Speaking of the music, this is also one of the best debuts of a hardcore band that I have heard in quite some time." - Decoy Music
  • "there aren't nearly enough hardcore records of this much substance and unencumbered emotion these days." - New Scheme #16

A beautiful split record between two of the most talented bands playing music today. The One AM Radio brings together guitar, violin, and stunning vocals to create an unparalleled ten minute song, "All I Can Recall Is the Haunting." The Wind-Up Bird uses his voice, guitar, trumpet, violin, and laptop to mix an incredible fourteen minute soundscape. Both bands also remix each others songs, holding onto the essence of the original but truly morphing them into their own sound and style. The most fitting soundtrack to every long walk home you've ever taken, and every moment of contemplation and reflection on the time that has passed you by. It can be the accompaniment to the greatest times of your life and the saddest - but in a way that leaves you with acceptance and, more importantly, hope.

PYRAMIDS
"Following The Tracks, Forcing Motion Through Phases" LP
A
1. Stationed
2. Drifting
3. Sleep Spindles & K-Complexes

B
4. Slow-Wave
5. Delta
6. Paradoxical
7. Lucid
This is the debut full length from the Philadelphia three-piece Pyramids. Bass driven hardcore with layered vocals from all three members. Darker and heavier than previous efforts put forth by these guys, it is also more dynamic, with each member taking over the drive of the songs at various points. The lyrics detail a journey through the subconcious, and the music is an appropriate soundtrack to battling internal demons, finding yourself, and emerging with hope for the future which comes through knowing who you are.

CD and Cassette versions are available from Slave Union Records and Friends of Dinosaurs, respectively.

REVIEWS:
  • "Following the Tracks, Forcing Motion Through Phases is an important, important record... a spectacularly amazing debut." - Punknews.org (4.5/5)
  • "Following... is a solid debut album." - Indieworkshop.com
  • "Guitar-wise this album is a thing of beauty with caustic chords meeting shoegazing note-stroking head-on." - Smother Magazine (Editor's Pick)
  • "Pyramids play full-blown emotional hardcore/screamo that is intertwined with epic post-rock. It's quite a stunning combination and I am not sure I have heard it done any better than the Pyramids do it on Following the Tracks, Forcing Motions Through Phases... Highly recommended!" - Sound As Language
